In October '86 and October '87 my dad, George Scott, competed in the Ironman World Championships in Kona, HI. In October '03, on his 69th birthday, he ran a marathon. But today, he uses a wheel chair. He's been crippled by PSP, a neurological disease that is related to Parkinson's.
He misses being an athlete.
As a Parkinson's Disease Foundation (PDF) Champion, I'll be competing a number of endurance challenges from October 2013 to October 2014 to raise awareness for PSP, Parkinson’s and other related brain diseases. Promising research is being conducted. I'd like your help to raise funds to ultimately find a cure.
More than 81 percent of PDF’s funds go directly toward its programs. PDF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all gifts are tax deductible.
Every donation really does make a difference in advancing PDF’s mission of education and advocacy. Please help me reach my $5,000 goal by making a donation today.
Thank you in advance for your support!
