Welcome to my PDF Champions Home Page: A Champion's Challenge
As a Parkinson’s Disease Foundation (PDF) Champion, I am working to raise funds to improve the lives and futures of people touched by Parkinson’s and to ultimately find a cure.
I have been living with Parkinson's for the past 7 years. I'm going to run the Grand Canyon from rim to rim to rim for 2 reasons: first, I'm turning 40 that week and want everybody to see that no matter what your circumstances are, you can do anything you set your mind to. I want to raise awareness for Parkinson's Disease in my community and be a good example that parkinson's disease doesn't just affect older people, it also affects seemingly young and healthy individuals and doesn't mean you can't continue to live an active lifestyle....you are only limited by what you think your limits are. Don't say you can't do it because of Parkinson's Disease, do it in spite of Parkinson's Disease!
I hope that I will inspire someone else and raise awareness in my community. My ultimate goal is to start an annual fundraising event in my community - a run benefiting the efforts of the Parkinson's Disease Foundation. Follow my progress as I work to start a group in the Huntsville/Madison area that provides support and empowerment to people touched some way by Parkinson's Disease. If you would like to join me, please post a message here or email me at jenniferneathery@gmail.com.

Did you know that nearly one million people in the United States are living with Parkinson’s disease? I am organizing my PDF Champions event in honor of these individuals and their loved ones who are impacted each day by Parkinson’s.
Parkinson’s disease is chronic neurological disease, for which there is currently no cure. But promising research is being conducted. Since its founding in 1957, PDF has dedicated over $90 million to fund the work of leading scientists throughout the world and over $37 million to support national education and advocacy programs.
Every donation really does make a difference in advancing PDF’s mission. Please help me reach my goal by making a donation today - the cure begins with YOU!!
More than 81 percent of PDF’s funds go directly toward its programs. PDF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all gifts are tax deductible.
Thank you in advance for your support!
